IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah
Husson
August 31, 1951 – May 5, 2023
Deborah Lynne Husson, age 71, of The Villages, Florida passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 5, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Debbie was born on August 31, 1951 to Walter and Barbara Kelloway in Melrose, MA. She graduated from Melrose High School in 1969.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robin, her two children Kelly Husson of Toledo, OH, and Cheryl Battles and husband Crispin of North Conway, NH and her two grandchildren Sawyer and Addison Battles who were the light of her life. She also leaves her sister Susan Husson and husband Cliff of Poinciana, FL, and brother Steven Kelloway and wife Cathy of Epping, NH as well as many nieces and nephews.
Debbie and Rob had moved to NH in 1975, living in Exeter, Brentwood and then Fremont. After Rob retired in 2014, they relocated to The Villages, FL where she enjoyed the beautiful weather, spending time with her nearby sister-in-law/bestie Janet DiSanto and her husband Randy, and playing Mexican Train with her group of friends.
Debbie was a true animal lover, sharing her home with numerous cats and dogs throughout her lifetime. Her beloved dog Cindy anxiously awaited her arrival on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
She was an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a race. Another weekend activity she enjoyed over the years was getting a sun-up start to search out the best yard sale bargains, and she was always one to come across the greatest flea market finds.
Debbie also loved to cook—the first question she asked when you arrived at her home was always "Did you eat?" She loved to plan and prep for all the holidays, always providing a spread of food for everyone to enjoy. Her Christmas cookies will always be remembered and missed by her whole family. She loved teaching her grandchildren the art of making her famous peanut butter balls.
Debbie enjoyed her years spent in Florida, but her "home" and heart remained in NH where a celebration of life is being arranged at a later date.
