Debbi McCloskey, age 65, 9163 SE 172 Santee Place, passed away Friday August 6, 2021.

Born April 28, 1956, Debbi,

The daughter of Lew and Verna (Brown) Kness of Poland Ohio

As a child Debbi was a competitive swimmer and carried that passion into college.  She attended Adrian College in Michigan then transferred to Slippery Rock in Pennsylvania where she received her BS in physical Education.

Debbi also earned an associate degree in Information Technology.

She used this to launch her career as a computer operator, programmer, and finally EDI Manager for MTD Company in Valley City Ohio

In 1988 she married Larry McCloskey

Debbi had a passion and talent for making quilts.

Dozens of her quilts have touched the lives and hearts of her friends and family.

Debbi attended Weirsdale Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon and a member of the chime choir.

She is survived by her Husband Larry, Mother Verna (Brown) Kness), Brother Steve Kness,

Son Larry II,  Daughter Kelly (McCloskey) Rice , her wife Veronica Rice and Granddaughters Kendal and Kelsey McCloskey and  Mary Jane and Izzabel Corrigan Rice

Memorial Service is 8/12/21 (Thursday) at 1:00PM with reception after.
