Deborah Weage of Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 76.

Deborah was born in Coldwater, Michigan, on September 11, 1949, one of four daughters of J David and Margarete Anita Weage, née Loewe. She grew up in Michigan before eventually making Florida her home.

She was a graduate of Saline High School and Manatee Junior College and continued her education at the University of Florida, where she earned her undergraduate degree and later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law. Deborah spent her professional career in property management in Central Florida.

Outside of her work, Deborah had a deep appreciation for the arts and was an enthusiastic collector of art. She loved music and enjoyed its many forms throughout her life. She was also a passionate advocate for animal rights and ecological causes, reflecting her lifelong concern for the natural world and the well-being of animals.

Above all, Deborah will be remembered by her family for her generosity, intelligence, and nurturing spirit. She was the beloved aunt who encouraged and nurtured in her nieces and nephews a lifelong love of reading—a gift that will continue to live on through them.

Deborah is survived by her sister, Stacey Weage McColley; her nephews Adam McColley and John McColley, Ian Thompson and Tyson Thompson; and their families.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service celebrating Deborah's life will be held in late November. Details will be announced at a later date.
