Obituary

Debra Kay Briganti, 63, of Longwood, Florida, was born in Beckley, West Virginia on September 15, 1962, and passed away on August 27, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Philip Briganti; son, Alexander Briganti (Monica); daughter, Kimberly Briganti (Michael); grandson, Aiden Briganti (Aija); great-granddaughter, Adyline Briganti; sister, Velvet Young; three brothers, Keith Young (Tammy), Michael Young (Michelle) and James Ames; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanette Briganti; sons, Joshua Scott and Anthony Scott; mother, Marjory Young; stepfather, Elbert Young; and brother, Daniel Young.

Debbie was beautiful, compassionate and talented. Helping others brought her joy. She was very versatile and excelled at any job she undertook, including working as a legal secretary, serving as an administrative assistant for a non-profit organization and providing care to developmentally disabled individuals.

A loving wife and mother, she took great care of her family. At home she was an excellent cook with countless delicious recipes (she made the best shredded beef enchiladas). She loved spending time with her children and often participated in their activities, serving as a Girl Scout leader and team mom for many years.

Her laughter was contagious and she could brighten any room with her smile. She liked staying active and having fun. Debbie enjoyed dancing, swimming, bowling, outdoor games, lounging by the pool and taking long walks with her husband on the beach.

We were blessed to have you in our lives. Rest in peace, sweet angel. We will love you always.
