Mrs. Debra Ann McGoogan (née Bruno), age 69, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, surrounded by her family, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born on October 1, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York, Debra lived a life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Debra was the beloved wife of Dan McGoogan, with whom she recently celebrated 50 blissful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life and family after moving to Florida in 1983. They spent much of their time on the Gulf Coast before relocating to Daytona Beach last summer.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Debra is survived by her four daughters: Renee (Tom) Kaczmarek, Michelle (Carl) Rogers, Stephanie (Ryan) McHenry, and Jennifer (Tim) Ashcroft. She was also a loving sister to her brother David Bruno and a proud grandmother to Danny, Marley, Joey, Raelee, Griffin, Jonathan, and Olivia Jane. Her family was the center of her world; she loved spending time with her grandchildren and supporting them in their individual pursuits.
Debra's Italian heritage shone through in her love for cooking and sharing meals with her family. She often taught her daughters and grandchildren how to prepare her favorite recipes—a tradition that will undoubtedly live on as part of her legacy. Her passion for nurturing extended beyond the kitchen to her garden, where she lovingly tended to her plants. She found joy in simple pleasures like sitting on her front porch in her bright red rocking chairs.
Professionally, Debra worked at Bealls Florida and took great pride in connecting with her community and enjoying the camaraderie of her coworkers. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew her.
Debra was predeceased by her parents, Ann and John Bruno. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother (affectionately known as Mimi), sister, aunt, niece and friend whose presence brought light into the lives of everyone around her.
To honor Debra's memory and celebrate her life, all are invited to wear red—her favorite color—in tribute to the vibrant spirit she shared with the world.
May Debra's memory bring comfort to all who loved her and inspire them to cherish the bonds of family and friendship she held so dear. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 18, 2026, at Baldwin Brothers,1185 West Granada Blvd. #11, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Viewing and gathering of family and friends to be held 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, with service beginning at 3:00 PM.
