IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra
Rothermel
November 21, 1947 – December 26, 2025
Debra (Traxler) Rothermel "78" whom resided within The Village of Charlotte, The Villages Fl passed away in her home and under Hospice care on Friday morning December 26, 2025. She was born in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Traxler and Colleen (Traxler) Rockett and has lived in The Villages for the past 13 years. Prior to moving to The Villages, Debra lived in Placitas, NM for 24 years. She lived a wonderful life of 40 years with her beloved husband Terry whom she met at a bowling tournament. In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her sister Karolyn (Kandy) Saxon, her son Thomas Alexander Lundgren (the joy of her life), daughter-in-law Nicole and grandsons Tyler and Cameron of Vancouver, WA. Debra was preceded in death by her two brothers, Tommy and Greg Traxler. She graduated from Stranahan High School class of "65" in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.
Debra enjoyed playing golf, bowling, yard work, cruising, watching college & pro football and helping others whenever the opportunity came her way. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the cherished memories she created with those who knew and loved her.
Debra's desire was to not have a memorial service to say goodbye. She believed that the truest expressions of love are the ones we give each other in life. Her greatest wish was simply to spend time together having coffee, conversations and presence while she was still alive to enjoy it. If Debra could leave one reminder, it would be that love is best shown in time spent together while we still have it. Her desire was to be cremated and her remains to be scattered in the waters off the coast of Maui, HI. Cremation was performed by Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society. In lieu of flowers, which she said Terry bought her all of the time, memorial contributions can be made to The Cleveland Clinic, Main Campus Gastroenterology Department, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195.
Debra's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family would like to thank Cornerstone Hospice for their gentle care.
