IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra Lee
Sharits
June 13, 1953 – February 24, 2026
Debra (Deb) Sharits, 72, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on February 24, 2026, after an extended battle with cancer.
Born on June 13, 1953, in Mason City, Iowa, to Leo Francis Lallier and Delores Ellen (Bowman) Lallier, Deb graduated from Ventura High School and Mankato State University. Deb lived most of her adult life in Simi Valley and Redondo Beach, California, and she worked for almost 27 years as a valued employee in quality assurance for the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Los Angeles.
Deb loved the beach life in California and long walks along the Pacific coast as well as spending time hanging out with her close-knit group of friends. She retired early at 55 and enjoyed many years of fun and travel both near and far, including trips to faraway places such as Amsterdam, Peru, Canada, the Caribbean, Italy, Holland, France, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Belgium, and Croatia.
Deb moved to Florida in 2020 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She quickly made friends in her new neighborhood, picked up the sport of pickleball, survived her first hurricane, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Deb is survived by her children, Kelly Powell (Robbie) and Jeff Graddy (Jenny), grandchildren Hannah, Cameron, Ava & Noelle, and sisters Vicki McNally and Kristy Prall and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Delores Lallier.
A celebration of Deb’s life will be held later in the spring in Fort Myers, and details will be shared with family and friends in the near future. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
