Deja was a happy child, she was taught to love the world,especially when it doesn't  love you back. A true friend  and would go to no end to help a friend in need. She loved music and dancing and this was nurtured early on by her enrolling in ballet classes.She sang in the choir at her church briefly, but her fervor for music did not die.She had a voice like her mother Regina Riddick

,but I believe much like an angel. Deja took 6 years of Tae Kwon Do and was a Blue belt, I  was very adamant about her personal safety. My daughter was a trusting soul and not more troubled than any young woman growing up in today's world. She in fact kept me level and anchored our boat, I will miss you my dear daughter, now and for always. You are in my thoughts every waking moment, and I cherish the moment when  we will see each other again, but as you know the pain at this moment is too great, so while we mourn I say we also celebrate your life. Amen. Deja was a happy spirit whose light will not dim, but shine and burn purely forever.

Deja is survived by her father Darin Gatling, mother Regina Brown, step-mother Jenny Gatling, siblings Hope, Devita, Chris ,Daniel and Raejanae, uncle Darrin Riddick aunt Keli Riddick. grandmothers Katie Bass, Monrovia Brown, grandfathers Troy Gatling, Reginald Riddick.

Services for Deja will be held on February 20, 2020 from 3-5 pm at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society located at 1654 N. Semoran Blvd Orlando,Fl Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home. Pastor Dr. Geren Gatling will be officiating services.
