Denise A. Markell Griffin, age 65, died of Alzheimer's and COVID on July 24, 2020, at Oceanview Nursing Home in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Denise is survived by her husband, Butch (Albert), of Edgewater, FL; her daughter's Tammy of Port Orange, FL and Heather of Titusville, FL; her sister Debby of Odessa, NY and her brother Bob, of Pine Island, NJ. She is predeceased in death by both her parents and grandparents. Denise was born on February 25, 1955, in Corning, NY, to parents John and Betty (White) Markell. She graduated from Horseheads Central School in 1973. Denise was a loving wife and mother. She married Butch (Albert) Griffin on June 11, 1976, and together the couple had two daughters. A funeral is scheduled for a later date. The family would like to thank Oceanview Nursing for her long-term care while there. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
