Denise Wilson Strain, 80 of New Smyrna Beach, Florida formerly of Plain City, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2023.

Denise was born May 26, 1942, in Majestic Kentucky to Ernest and Pauline Estep. She spent her early childhood in Vulcan, West Virginia before moving to Columbus, Ohio where she graduated from Central High School.

Denise worked in banking, starting as a teller and ultimately became a loan Officer at the Franklin Bank in Columbus, Ohio.

Her greatest joy came from her family, working in the yard, and in her beautiful flower gardens.

She was preceded by in death by her parents Ernest and Pauline, husband Rodney Strain, and sister Patricia Gieseck. She is survived by her brother James Murphy and his wife Connie, her two children Sandra Tomberlin and John Wilson, son-in-law Jim Tomberlin, daughter-in-law Ann Wilson, her five Grandchildren, Christopher Wetteland, Andrew Wetteland, Alexandra Wetteland, Hailey Wilson, and John W. Wilson, and 5 Great Grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home at 1 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32169 11:00am on Thursday March 2, 2023.
