Obituary

"I suspect that every saved soul in heaven is a great wonder, and that heaven is a vast museum of wonders of grace and mercy. A palace of miracles, in which everything will surprise everyone who gets there."

Charles Spurgeon, 'Feeble Faith Appealing To A Strong Savior'

Dennis Fleming passed peacefully on October 17, 2020, at his home in Port Orange, FL surrounded by loved ones. Born in Charleroi, PA to Margaret Guthrie Fleming and David Howard Fleming.  Both of which have preceded him in death.

A graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, Bachelor of Science, Education, Washington College, Master of Arts, Education, and Xavier University, MHA, Health Administration Business. Member of American College of Healthcare Executives. An educator at heart and a successful businessman, Dennis was a great storyteller, a hard worker, and had a great memory. His mother-in-law would call him 'the encyclopedia man'. Meeting his soul mate and the love of his life in 1979, where they dated for 8 months, and they were married for 40 years.

During a neurological check by the doctors they pointed to Dennis's wife and asked, 'who is that?' expecting him to say, 'Heidi,' Dennis said, "Oh, that is my angel'. Full of life, and love, and peace, and hope, Dennis earned the respect of those who knew him. He had a passion and gift for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through his life and through his love.

An avid lifetime athlete Dennis earned multiple championships in equestrian events and tennis. An endurance athlete, snow skier, and a reader. He had a life-long love of learning, gardening, and cooking.

Dennis will be greatly missed but, he would want everyone to know he was prepared and eager to meet his Savior. He has completed his race.
