Dennis (Bud) Fortin

February 13, 1945- February 25, 2026

Dennis Allen Fortin, age 81, of Pontiac, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. Born on February 13, 1945, in Pontiac to Raymond Joseph Fortin and Betty Lois. He was preceded in death by his sister Judith (Fortin) Watros, brother-in-law Joseph Watros and Ronnie Covert. Bud devoted his life to family and friends. For 34 years, Bud worked at General Motors, where he was respected and admired. Bud found joy in golf, travel and spending time with family. Those that knew him will remember him for his smile, laugh and sense of humor. Bud survived by his wife Lizabeth Fortin, son Scott (Erin) Minton, sister Susan (Fortin) Covert and grandchildren Madalynn Minton, Scott Minton, Wyatt Guenther, Landon Guenther, and many beloved family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held this summer in Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations made to Bud’s favorite charity St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
