Dennis Michael Shafter, 75, of Titusville, Florida, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2026.

Born in Orlando, Florida, Dennis was the beloved son of the late Robert and Mary Shafter. A faithful servant of God throughout his life, Dennis earned a Master's degree in Pastoral Administration and dedicated his life to ministry, mentorship, and sharing the Gospel.

Dennis faithfully pastored Seventh-day Adventist churches and was known as a gifted speaker, evangelist, and teacher. His ministry took him throughout Central America, Africa, and the Philippines, where he touched countless lives through his preaching, compassion, and unwavering faith. He was a devoted man of God whose greatest joy was leading others to Christ and encouraging fellow believers in their spiritual walk.

Beyond his ministry, Dennis enjoyed gardening, reading, and cheering on his beloved Miami Dolphins. He was known for his dry sense of humor, kind heart, and genuine friendship. His wisdom, encouragement, and steadfast faith made him a cherished friend and mentor to many.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Karen Shafter, whom he married on August 10, 1975; his daughter, Wendy Fisher; granddaughter, Tayler Fisher; grandson, Reed Fisher; sister, Mary Jane Montgomery; and brothers, Bruce Shafter and Steve Shafter.

While his family and friends grieve his passing, they rejoice in the blessed hope of Christ's promise and take comfort in knowing that Dennis now rests in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Titusville Community Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5005 Barna Avenue, Titusville, Florida 32780.
