Dennis L. Simmons (76), beloved husband, father grandfather and brother, passed away on September 3, 2023, in his home in Venice, Florida surrounded by love and family.

Born on February 5, 1947, born in Port Huron, Michigan, son of Lloyd H. Simmons and Kathryn Simmons, brother to Beth Stephenson (George Stephenson) and Lynda Collins (Clarence "Squeak" Collins). As a young man Dennis served in The United States Navy, bringing honor to his family and country.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 48 years Terese M. Simmons, three children Denise Moyer (Sean Moyer), Lloyd Simmons (Jenni Simmons), and Allison Morningstar (Adam Morningstar), as well as seven grandchildren Chloe Moyer, Blake Moyer, Cole Simmons, Tessa Simmons, Ava Simmons, Kyle Morningstar, and Wyatt Morningstar.

While we mourn the loss of Dennis Simmons, let us remember that his legacy lives on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him. He will forever be in our hearts.
