IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis H.
Witzgall
April 24, 1943 – January 27, 2026
Dennis H. Witzgall, born on April 24, 1943, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2026 at the age of 82. He was married to his best friend, Jae Ann Witzgall, for 55 ½ beautiful years. Together, they loved entertaining and attending events, and also worked side by side as a dynamic real estate team for many years. True partners in every sense of the word.
Dennis lived life fully and joyfully. Teaching and education were central to his life, and he approached them with deep commitment and care. He took pride in building houses with skill and dedication. He loved both playing and coaching sports. In recent years, he enjoyed playing pickleball, embracing both the competition and the camaraderie it brought. Dennis had a deep appreciation for good food and believed some of life’s best moments were shared around a table. He especially enjoyed seafood, with lobster and clams among his favorites.
Known for his incredible sense of humor, Dennis delighted in making people laugh and was often the life of the party. Whether joking with friends, tearing up the dance floor, or earning his legendary reputation as a world champion twister, Dennis brought energy and joy wherever he went.
Above all else, Dennis loved the Lord. In the final year of his life, his faith deepened profoundly as he and Jae Ann shared devotions twice a day. Even through significant trials and declining health, Dennis made every effort to attend church as often as possible, remaining steadfast in his faith and trust in God.
Dennis is survived by his devoted wife, Jae Ann; his sons, Eric and Darryn; his daughter-in-law, Karin; his beloved grandson, Nathaniel; and his mother-in-law, Bunnie Daniels. He also leaves behind countless friends whose lives were deeply touched by his warmth, humor, and generosity, as well as his cherished fur babies, Shyla and Georgie. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Brent, and mother, Dorothy Hamill.
Dennis will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, loyal friend, and faithful servant of Christ. His legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to live on in all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 2nd 10:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (Southwest College Road, Ocala, FL).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blood Cancer United in his memory.
