Dewey Samuel Roach Sr., age 93, peacefully passed away on October 28, 2021. He was born March 2, 1928 in Huntington, WV to the late Covington and Scinda (nee Salmons) Roach. Dewey was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He worked as a Mechanic for the Ford Motor Company. He proudly served his country in the Army and is a Korean War Veteran. Dewey was a member of the Friends Carving Club in Port Orange, Florida and Wood B Carvers in Norton, Ohio. He was also a member of the Cleveland Masons Lodge 781 and UAW Local 1250.

Dewey never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved making people laugh and blessing others with his carvings, cherry pit baskets, peach pit monkeys, comfort birds, crosses, jar scrapers and walking sticks.

Left to celebrate Dewey's life are his loving wife, Sarah "Sally" (nee Dueck) Roach; his beloved children, Linda (Kevin) Adams, Gina Roach (Suzanne Baker), Tina (John, deceased) Tzatzaris (Fiance- Kevin Oberlin), Dewey Jr. (Lisa) Roach, Robert Roach; stepchildren, Terry Kreiner, Treva (Jeff) Davis, and Christopher (Debbie) Kreiner; 14 cherished grandchildren; 10 treasured great grandchildren; and one beloved great-great grandchild. Dewey is preceded in death by his stepson, David.

Family will welcome Florida friends on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Crossroads Christian Church, located at 3838 FL-44, New Smyrna Beach, Florida at 4:00 PM, Pastor Ben Ling officiating. The family will welcome Ohio friends on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Waite & Son Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Rd, Brunswick, Ohio. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM, with inurnment taking place at 1:45 PM at the National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. Dewey's nephew, Pastor Billy Graham will be officiating.
