Diane
Gerrior
March 30, 1950 – November 25, 2024
Diane Gerrior , 74, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on November 25, 2024, at home with her two daughters by her side.
Born and raised in Dearborn Heights MI, she graduated from Robichaud High School and lived out the majority of her life in Michigan while enjoying being married to her soulmate, Robert "Bobby" Gerrior, and raising a family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Gerrior and parents, Edward and Mabel Powers.
Diane is survived by daughters DeAnne Fritts (Andy), Andrea McCarter (Jason), and grandchildren Brodie Hodge, Cassidy Fritts, Marc Fritts, Myles Fritts, Dempsey McCarter, and nephew Chris Sanders, and siblings Marlene Barnett (Glen) and Edward Powers (Angela).
Diane was talented at many things. From her green thumb, keeping many lovely plants and flowers, to crafting, sewing, cooking and an eye for decorating.
She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in all they did. For her daughters, Diane enjoyed coaching baseball, supporting soccer, basketball, cheerleading, girl scouts, and more. She enthusiastically looked forward to being a part of all her grandchildren's games, events, and special occasions.
Diane had a special gift of keeping a warm loving home where everyone liked to gather, hosting spectacular holiday get togethers; It was Diane's love of family for how she will most greatly be missed.
At her request, there will be a memorial service for both her and husband Bobby in the Spring of 2025 at St. Hedwig's cemetery in Dearborn Heights, MI.
The family would like to thank AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care of Pinellas County, and private nurse, Michele Woo Brown, for caring for Diane in her last few months. It is with great appreciation that they cared for this amazing woman, our mother. She will remain in our hearts forever and always.
