Donald G. Chartrand of New Smyrna Beach, FL  passed away on January 4, 2023.

He was born Sept 14th 1936, to the late George and Marie (Seliga) Chartrand in Fitchburg, MA and grew up in Hudson, MA. Donald worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his working days while in MA for Frank Maurer Co. and in FL he worked out of union hall 675.

Donald is survived by his wife Vicki (Armour) Chartrand of New Smyrna Beach, his daughter Donna & her husband David Barberio of Southborough, MA,  three sons Donald J. Chartrand of Daytona Beach, FL, George Chartrand & his wife Michelle of Orange City, FL and Tyler Chartrand of New Smyrna Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by two sons Gilbert Chartrand and Derek Chartrand. Donald was also the brother of the late George and Martin Chartrand. He also leaves behind five granddaughters Nicole Barberio, Liz Barberio, Breighanna Sahagian, Jodi Chartrand and Melissa Gray and one great granddaughter Piper whom he never had the pleasure of meeting in person.

He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and the best bunch of friends anyone could have, he enjoyed boating and motorcycling  with them as there was always fun to be had with the crew.

Donald will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL with a gathering of friends and family after the ceremony. Date to be announced .
