Donald Charles Crawford, born April 27, 1940, in Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

He was the beloved son of the late Lloyd and Martha Crawford.  Donald was married to Sherley Davis Crawford, who survives him.

Donald is survived by his sister, Patricia Tolison.  He was preceded in death by his brother Wayne Crawford. 

He leaves behind five loving children:  Pamela (Neal) Gaines, Donnie (Elizabeth) Crawford, Dee Hill, Ronnie (Tina) Crawford, and Donna Charle (Dean) Crawford.  He was also beloved with many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will deeply miss him.

Donald, known to many as Charles, was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.  He loved singing karaoke and was an excellent singer.  Charles enjoyed talking with people and had many friends.  He had a natural love of learning and could tackle nearly any challenge, whether it involved carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, or other trades.  A mechanic by profession, he worked on everything from tow motors to semi tractor-trailer rigs.

Donald had such a giving spirit and some of his most cherished moments came from helping neighbors, friends, and others in need throughout the community.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Community Chapel, located at 3601 W. Old Highway 441, Mount Dora, Florida 32757, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.  Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, celebrate his life, share memories, and tell stories in his honor.
