Donald Eugene Edwards, age 91, passed away peacefully in Florida on April 8, 2026, after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Gloria Edwards; his sister, Velma Manship (Dale); his three children, Clif Edwards, Mark Edwards, and Zonya Foco; as well as five grandchildren and nine (and counting) great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Born in Missouri, Don's career brought him and his family to Michigan in 1969, just in time to celebrate the first man walking on the moon. In the years that followed, Don became well known in the Irish Hills area of Lenawee County for his service as a real estate broker with Irish Hills Realty and as a land developer, most notably the Loch Erin community.

A lifelong aviation enthusiast. He also loved ping-pong and bicycling, and he passed those passions on to all three of his children. In fact, just a couple of weeks before his passing, he set out on what would be his final bicycle ride—an enduring reflection of his adventurous spirit.

He had a deep love for God, spent time daily reading his Bible, and found great joy in loving his family and connecting with others.

Although he will be deeply missed, Don’s legacy lives on through his family and the lasting contributions he made to the Irish Hills community he so dearly loved.
