Donald Enslen, age 90, passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind a legacy of love, integrity, service, and devotion to his family.

Born on a farm in Gomer, Ohio, Don never forgot the values he learned growing up—hard work, humility, kindness, and perseverance. Those values guided him throughout his life and were evident in the way he cared for everyone around him.

Don proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for six years, an experience that reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment. Following his military service, he graduated from Bowling Green University and then built a successful career in finance, serving as Chief Financial Officer of a reinsurance company in New York City for more than 30 years.

Above all else, Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared an extraordinary 69 years of marriage with the love of his life, Diane. Together they built a beautiful family and created countless memories filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane; his daughter, Andrea (Mark); and his son, Doug (Darcy). He was predeceased by his loving daughter-in-law, Fidelis. He was the proud grandfather of Andrew (Kelli), Zac (Jamie), Melissa (Jimmy), and Holly (Will). His greatest joy continued with the arrival of his beloved great-grandchildren: Theo, Kaci, Oliver, and Rowan, each of whom brought an immeasurable smile to his face.

Don embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure. An avid skier, he spent many wonderful days on the slopes and treasured traveling the world with Diane. Together they explored destinations including Switzerland, Thailand, the Galápagos Islands, and Africa, creating memories and friendships that lasted a lifetime. He loved his NSB family and friends, with his mornings at Ruthie's, playing golf and serving as a ranger at Hidden Lakes, Beer Bust Wednesdays, and Boat and Ski Club activities.

Those who knew Don will remember his gentle nature, unwavering love for his family, and strong moral character, which made him someone people admired and trusted.

Though he will be deeply missed, Don's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
