GILLIS Donald A., age 88, of Edgewater, FL was born in Derby, CT on July 5, 1928, the son of William and Helen Weir Gillis. He was one of six children.  He worked for Olin Corp. for 33 years.  After retiring in 1987, he started a locksmith business with his wife Barbara Gllis. Upon her death in 2001, Don sold his locksmith business in Madison CT and moved to Florida.  In 2006 he married the former Ann Hood, and for the next ten and a half years, they spent summers in upstate NY and winters in FL, enjoying many trips throughout the world.  Don is survived by his wife, Ann; a son, David, his wife Sue, and their two daughters, Casey and Amy, and their husbands, Jeremy and Joshua respectively, and three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Harper and Cooper; and his sister, Elizabeth Gillis.  Don is predeceased by his parents;  two brothers and two sisters.  A Celebration of Don's life will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 2:30 PM at St Peter the Fisherman Church, 4220 Saxon Drive, New Smyrna Beach, FL.  The family requests that memorials be preferred to the Church or to Halifax Hospice, Edgewater.
