Donald C Murphy, 86 of Edgewater passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011.  He was born January 26, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio to Daniel and Florence Watts Murphy.  He faithfully served our county in the U.S. Army during World War II.  In 1984 he retired from Sunoco Oil Company in Toledo, Ohio.  Donald enjoyed playing shuffleboard and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Edgewater.  He also attended St. Gerard Catholic Church in Edgewater.  He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jane; his stepchildren, James Velliquette of Maumee, Ohio; Sharon Velliquette of Northwood, Ohio. and many loving nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Murphy and sister, Helen Creps.  A Celebration of Donalds life will be held by the family at a later date.
