Donald Ray Schofield, 92, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away on May 8,2018 at Hope Hospice. He was born on March 2, 1926 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Carl W. and Mamie (Foss) Schofield. Donald was a Veteran of WWII, serving as a Corporal with the Army Air Corp. He attended Ferris State University and retired as a Licensed Civil Engineer and land Surveyor. Donald was a Ham Radio Operator, and he enjoyed gardening and genealogy. He was proceeded in death by Great Grand Child Nikki Slopsems, Kentwood, Michigan. Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Emily Schofield of Ft. Myers; Daughter, Bonnie Schofield, Bisbee, Arizona; Son, Dwight Schofield (Betty), Greenville, Michigan; Son, David Schofield (Lauren), Blue Hill, Maine; Granddaughter, Ophelia Perkins (Christopher), Rochester, New Hampshire; Granddaughter, Meeka Slopsema (Doug), Kentwood, Michigan; Granddaughter, Mya Harrison, Farmville, Virginia; Grandson Isaac Schofield, Spruce Head, Maine; Granddaughter, Rebecca Schofield, Goodston, Maine; Grandson, Daniel Schofield, Greenville, Michigan; Grandson, Luke Saindon, Boston, Massachusetts; Great Granddaughter, Marissa Perkins, Rochester, New Hampshire; and Great Grandson, Mathew Harrison, Farmville, Virginia.
