Donald Daniel Whitacre of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on September 4th, 2024.

He was born in Canton, OH, on February 6th, 1966. Don graduated from Sandy Valley High School and received his Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University in Industrial Technology. He was married to Stephanie Whitacre on September 6th, 1996. Don had a successful career as a real estate investor and was deeply passionate about kitesurfing, a joy he shared with his wife and a close group of friends.

Don deeply loved his two children, Maxwell (Max) Dean Whitacre and Whitney Christina Whitacre. He is survived by his mother Edith (Edy) Finefrock, his brother Whitney W. Whitacre, and his 3 sisters Stefanie Bauer, Christina Uridel, and Gretchen Whitacre and his step brother, Jack Finefrock.
