Donna Jean Luckeydoo, 73, of Leesburg, Florida, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2024. She was born on January 14, 1951 in Prospect, Ohio, to Ralph and Alice (Green) Issler. After graduating from Elgin High School in 1968, she attended the Ohio State University for two years before joining Columbia Gas of Ohio in 1970. Early in Donna's career, she became the first female meter reader. This was among many other roles for which she excelled during her 30-year career at Columbia Gas of Ohio. In 1977, Donna married Rocky Luckeydoo, to whom she was married for 47 years. They were actively involved with their many nieces and nephews. After retiring, Donna fulfilled her dream of moving to Florida. She and Rocky moved from Johnstown, Ohio to Leesburg, Florida. She enjoyed playing pinochle with friends, reading, traveling, thrifting for resale, and helping others. Donna also enjoyed working part-time at Ebb-Flow, where she handled the bookkeeping for six years. In retirement, Donna also became involved at St. Mark Lutheran Church and with many other charitable and political causes. She and Rocky once traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend a rally. Throughout her life, Donna was known for her love of animals and music. Those closest to Donna will also remember her intellect, passion, sense of humor, and fun-loving spirit. Donna will be missed by many and remembered fondly in her many roles as wife, daughter, sister, friend, and helper. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, John Issler, and sister, Sue (Issler) Meister. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Rocky, sisters Carrol (Issler) Hickman and Sharry (Issler) Long, brother Ralph Issler, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a future date determined by the family.
