Donna Christine (Boyer) Taylor, 82, passed away on May 15, 2026 at AdventHealth Minneola surrounded by loved ones after a tireless fight against R.C.C. 

Donna was born January 17, 1944 in Providence, RI. She was the third of eight children born to Ruth (Rice) and Edwin Boyer. 

She attended St. Bernard's Catholic School and North Kingstown High School where she met her lifelong friend, Mary Morgan. 

She was extremely talented with a sewing machine! We remember all of the wonderful things she has made throughout the years. 

In 1973 she got tired of paying for daycare and took a chance by walking into Mesabi Bus Co. in Hibbing, MN and was the first female hired there. She stayed with Hibbing Schools until moving back to Rhode Island in 1986. She drove for North Kingstown for a few years and then went to work in West Warwick. She drove Mini 4 for close to 20 years. She was loved by all of her students and families. 

Donna is survived by her daughters, Dori Taylor of Astatula, FL , Alison (Philip) Voight of Billings, MT, Deanna Close and honorary son-in-law Bobby Eldridge of Coventry, RI; Grandchildren:  Brandon (Katya), Kaitlyn, Kody (Micah), Taylor, and Alexandra; Great-grandchildren: Piper, Dean, Jedidiah, Lydia, Veronica, and Brooklyn; Sisters: Maureen Smith, and Marsha (Ron) Clark; Brothers: Christopher, Jerry, Jeffrey, and Brian (Doreen) Boyer as well as many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Bruce Boyer, and her first grandson Michael Thompson. 

Mom was a member of Church At the Barn in Astatula. The family can't thank our mom's church family enough for always being there for her.
