Dorine passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning in her sleep. She was a loving mother to three beautiful children, Beverly, Corbin, Thaddeaus and grandson Zacharie. She was with her fiancé Gene for 15 years. Dorine was one of six children. Her parents were Daniel Hohenstein who passed away in 1992 and her mother Kathy Hohenstein who survives her. Also, sisters Kristine Driggers, Delilah Hohenstein, Tonia Hohenstein, Cynthia Hohenstein and brother Daniel Hohenstein, II. She also leaves nephews Shane, Wade and Justin, nieces Preslee, Kortni and Leila, one great niece and three great nephews. Dorine loved having fun whether it was hanging out by a fire, going to the beach or river and especially mudding in the woods. She was an animal lover of all kinds and always took in the sick and strays to nurse back to health. She once did CPR on a small pet rat to bring it back to life. Dorine wore her heart on her sleeve and would always help a person in need. She had a beautiful soul and there will never be anyone like her. She could fill a room with her jokes, laugh and smile. She is going to be deeply missed. There will be a celebration of life at Menard May Park Edgewater 3:00 PM Saturday, November 12.
