Doris G. Hoenecke of The Villages, Fl passed peacefully on Monday, July 9, 2018 assisted by Hopsice Compassionate Care at Serenades Memory Care Assisted Living. She was born in Bay View, WI on September 5, 1926. She is survived by Robert Hoenecke of The Villages, FL, her husband, friend, lover and companion in life; sons, Thomas (Margaret) Coonan of Oak Creek, WI, Richard Coonan of Clearwater, FL, and Daniel (Carrie) Coonan of Georgetown, TX; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In 1967 Doris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alverno College, received her Master's Degree in 1970 from the University of Wisconsin and taught 4th through 6th grade in the South Milwaukee School District for 25 years. On an exchange basis through the University of Wisconsin, she also taught school in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Sidney, Australia. A celeberation of life will be held in The Villages, Fl at a later date to be announced.
