Dorothy Margaret "PEG" Donofrio of New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away at Halifax Health Medical Center on June 11, 2016. Born in Bloomville, NY on March 29, 1920 to James and Hetty McLean, Peg fell in love and married John J. Donofrio on September 29, 1938 – a blessed marriage lasting over 77 years. Peg and John moved from their home in Upstate NY to Raritan, NJ in 1942, to Miami, FL in 1965 and to their home in New Smyrna Beach in 1995. Peg was an outstanding cook, caretaker and partner to her husband both at home and in their businesses. She had a special place in her heart for her grandsons and she called herself a prayer warrior. Peg is survived by her husband, John J. Donofrio, daughter Marge Fairweather, of New Smyrna Beach, grandsons Dean Fairweather of Winter Park, FL, Mark Fairweather and his wife Ann of Orlando, FL, great grandchildren Anna Fairweather of Longwood, FL, Laurel and Luke Fairweather of Orlando, FL. and sister Jennie Crandall of Oneonta, NY. A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church in New Smyrna Beach on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Peter the Fisherman Flower Guild.
