Dorothy (Dottie) Jean Silvers, 86, of New Smyrna Bch, FL, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2025. She was born on May 12, 1938 to the late Clyde and Louise Stratton of Edgewater, FL. Her life was filled with joy from her loving family, dear friends and her love of Christ. Dottie created a loving and welcoming home where you could always count on love, laughter and a cup of coffee.

Dottie was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Noel C. Silvers, who passed away in 2015, shortly after they celebrated 60 wonderful yrs of marriage.

She was a devoted and loving mother to her four daughters, Wendi Joseph (Eddy), Kelly Silvers, Nancy Small and Sandy Blair (Ed). She was so proud of her seven grandchildren, Garrett Laubscher (Robin), Jeffrey (Shelley), Ross Wiley (Melissa), Lyndsey Monroe (Jesse), Lee Small (Nina), Jason Blair (Brooke) and Kyle Blair (Tori) and 15 great grandchildren. Dottie is also survived by three brothers Art, Larry and Randy Stratton.

Dottie was a strong prayer warrior. Her joy was in the Lord and faith was her anchor. In her early years she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and raising her girls. Later she went on to leading a ministry dear to her heart, known as Women Need Women at Christ Community Church. This ministry supported women in need emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
