Douglas Alan Decker went to be with his maker on February 24, 2021 at the age of 67. Doug was born in Peoria, IL and raised in East Peoria, IL . Most recently he lived in Wildwood, FL. After many years in Minneapolis, MN. Doug had the unique ability to make everything feel loved when in his presence, be it people, animals or plants they all flourished when he was around. He loved to travel and made friends wherever he was, be it Mexico, Florida, Arizona, Minneapolis or Sir Lanka. He will be missed dearly by  his sister, Deanna McClain( Roger) of West Bend, WI/ The Villages, FL and his brother Larry ( Carol) of Plymouth, MN. He leaves behind 5 nephews and niece and 16 great nieces and nephews who knew him and loved him . He had numerous close friends from around the world that will miss him dearly. He spent over 20 years at the Target Corp. in Minneapolis before retiring to Arizona then Florida. Doug graduated from Illinois State University  with a B.S. degree in Special Education which he used in his early career years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood and served as a volunteer in the Wildwood Soup Kitchen. He was an extraordinary individual , always welcoming, always loving, always there for those in need, loyal, sometimes opinionated, and a bit of jokester but always with humanity. As was Doug's style, his estate will be left to numerous charity and philanthorpic organizations serving people around world. Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice. interment will take place for the family later this year.
