Douglas William Erpelding, age 81 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Friday, February 7th, 2025. He was born on May 16, 1943, in Waterloo, the son of William and Ethel Erpelding. Doug was a graduate of Jesup High School. Doug worked for Cardinal Construction and then finished his career as a Plans Examiner for the city of Waterloo. He retired and moved to Orlando, FL in September of 2011. He was a member of the South Orlando Baptist Church, in Orlando, Florida. Doug was united in marriage to Jennifer Lee Erpelding, November 14, 1970. Doug enjoyed many activities over the years including woodworking, sail boating, camping, fishing, golfing, line dancing, prison ministry and telling stories any chance he had. He enjoyed being "BPA" to Drew and Cade Erpelding. Doug is survived by his son, Jason and daughter-in-law, Anne Erpelding; grandsons, Drew and Cade Erpelding, brothers Wendell Erpelding and Bruce (Jan) Erpelding, sister-in-law Dona (Don) Wildeboer and several nieces and nephews. A service for Doug will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March, 8th, 2025 at South Orlando Baptist Church. Family and some friends will head to the Prayer and Praise Garden at the First Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida with David Crowe officiating.
