Obituary

Douglas Clark Gasper, 75 years old, of Port Orange, Florida, died Thursday, October 26, 2017. He was the husband of Kayla Rae (nee Jakubec) Gasper. Doug was born in Lorain, Ohio, the son of the late Michael and Anne (nee Brence) Gasper. Doug was a graduate of the Miami of Ohio. He entered the US Navy Flight School and became a Navy Fighter Pilot, flying the F4 Phantom while serving on the USS Independence. Later he was a Captain for Eastern Airlines and US Airways. He was an avid fan of rare books, architecture, and sailing. Besides his wife Kayla, Doug is survived by his son, Mason, daughter, Shelly, and five loving grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home,620 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, Florida.
