Douglas Brent Miller, 75, of The Villages, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 while under the care of hospice. He was born in Smithville, Missouri to the late Marvin and Mildred Miller. For most of his life he resided in Kansas City, Missouri and was a Captain on the Police force. Brent retired to The Villages and enjoyed playing poker and golf. He also liked to travel and go on cruises with his son. He was also a proud veteran of The United States Coast Guard.

Survivors include his son Douglas Dean Miller.

He is preceded in death by his childhood sweetheart Martha A. Miller and second wife Janie L. Miller.
