IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Douglas
Schlosser
February 6, 1968 – April 19, 2025
Douglas Edward Schlosser, born on February 6, 1968 in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on April 19, 2025, in Lady Lake, Florida, surrounded by his family. Doug died 10 months after being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). He is survived by his sons, Kyle (Samantha) Schlosser and Dustin Schlosser, as well as his parents, Thomas and Diane Schlosser, his brother, Eric (Shelly) Schlosser, and his nephew, Taylor. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Norah Grace, Guinevere Lark, and Robin Elliot, who gave him much joy in the last few years. Doug is further survived by many more loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Doug attended Whitmer High School in Toledo and shortly after became a lifelong carpenter.
Doug was an avid fisherman, hunter, and artist, and his love of the outdoors persisted throughout his life. Doug was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Doug was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was coming up on his 17th anniversary on June 2, 2025. One of the most important things in his life was his second family at Joy of Living at Last House on the Block. He accomplished one of his greatest goals in life – he died sober.
During his time on Earth, Doug survived alcoholism, a heart attack and cancer before succumbing to ALS. For that reason, in lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice or a hospice center.
