E. Kathleen "Kitty" Corbett, 84 of Oak Hill died Saturday, August 17, 2013.  Kitty was born August 9, 1929 in Inglenook, Alabama to the late Ola and Calloway Speights.  She married Paul D. Corbett in 1969 and they moved New Smyrna Beach in 1970 from Alabama.  Kitty worked as a Surgical Nurse starting her career at Orlando Regional Medical Center and retiring from Bert Fish Medical Center after 36 years of service.  She is survived by her husband, Paul; seven children, M. Stephen Daniel, Edith M. Hill, Audrey Carpenter, Debra E. Chapell, Bruce Daniel, Myles E. Daniel, Jr. and Wendel B. Corbett; 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; two sisters, Ermith Cassdey and Clara Flemming and her brother, Benny G. Speights.  A visitation will be held from 5-7PM, Monday at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach.  A life celebration will be held 2PM, Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Oak Hill, 192 E. Halifax Avenue, Oak Hill with a visitation beginning at 1PM.  A reception will be held immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall.  Entombment will be private at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach.
