Edith Nanette Seise, age 90, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, in Cape Coral.
Edith was born on November 12, 1935, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to Arsenio and Juanita Artiguez. She married the love of her life, Ramond Seise, on August 10, 1955, in Manhattan, New York.
For more than 20 years, Edith worked as an assistant teacher at the Suffolk County Children’s Development Center, where she found great purpose and joy in educating and supporting children with special needs. Her patience, compassion, and dedication touched the lives of countless students and families.
Edith was preceded in death by her beloved children, Raymond Seise and Betty Ann Seise, and her sister, Rosie Nieves.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ramond Seise; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Thomas M. Carden; her sisters, Nancy Cott and Norma Rosenberg; her brother, Arsenio Artiguez III; her grandchildren, Ryan Coll, Anthony Coll, Christie Valinsky, and Alyssa Carden; and her great-grandchildren, Tristan Walls and Jason Valinsky.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 290 Nicholas Pkwy NW, Unit #19, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
The family of Edith Nanette Seise wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Gulf Coast Village for the kindness, compassion, and support they provided during her time there.
Edith will be remembered for her tenacity, her strength, her generous spirit, and the love she gave so freely to her family and all who knew her.
