Edmond de Bie, 85, of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025.  He was born in Djakarta, Indonesia to Fredrik E. de Bie and Ernestine Constance Ketting Olivier.  Edmond was a veteran of the US Army National Guard where he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sargent.  He worked as a design technician in the field of Engineering.  Edmond enjoyed writing and often contributed editorial opinions to the newspaper.

Survivors include his wife Kazuko de Bie, son Hendrik E. de Bie, daughter in law Melissa A. de Bie, and 2 grandchildren Amara Noelle de Bie and Alden Edmond de Bie.

Local services in Ocala will be held on July 7, 2025, 10:30am, at Baldwin Brothers Silver Springs Chapel, 954 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 34470.

Mr de Bie's final resting place will be Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
