Edna Lumpkin peacefully joined her loving husband and best friend of 65 years on June 7, 2012.  Edna had a warm sense of humor and loving nature all of which made her life wonderful and full of fun.  She loved and devoted much of her time to her family and the Methodist Church.  She was born in Elberton, GA on Sept 2, 1926, the last of 15 brothers and sisters.  On Dec 20, 1946 she married John Lumpkin, two years later the first of their 4 children were born.  Her children and spouses, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren will truly miss her.    Services will be at 12:30 at St Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church, New Smyrna Beach, on June 16, 2012 at 12:30.    Hospice was instrumental in the care of both Edna and John at the end of their lives, in lieu of flowers please send contributions to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 2381 Mason Avenue, Suite 100, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
