Eduardo Cerritos, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on October 14, 1941, in Quezaltepeque, El Salvador.
Eduardo was a hardworking, loving, and selfless man who left El Salvador to build a better future for his family. His journey brought him to Bonita Springs, Florida, where he devoted his life to creating opportunities and a brighter future for those he loved.
He enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to visit many countries throughout his life, with Saudi Arabia holding a special place in his heart. Closer to home, he found joy in crabbing, visiting the flea market, and making lasting memories with his grandchildren at the beach. Being a grandfather was one of Eduardo’s greatest joys. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren and took immense pride in watching his family grow through each new generation. His family was the center of his world, and there was nothing he loved more than being surrounded by those he loved. These simple moments together were among his greatest treasures.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carmen Viche de Cerritos; his loving children and their spouses: Maria Elena Viches (Gabino), Sonia Lilian Cerritos (Carlos), Daysi Marisol Patiño (Gustavo), Oscar Serrano, Nelson Serrano, Mauricio Serrano, Mirna Serrano, and Delmi Serrano; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his beloved great-great-grandson, Lucas; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Candelaria Cerritos; his cherished sisters; and his loving children, Eduardo Cerritos Jr., Willian Alfredo Cerritos, and Josephina Elizabeth Cerritos.
Eduardo will be remembered for his unwavering love, generous heart, quiet strength, and the many sacrifices he made throughout his life. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
Though he will be deeply missed, his love, wisdom, and memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts
