Edward T Coons Sr. was born and raised in Lexington, Ky by his mother and father, Doris Coons and William Coons. Edward had an older sister, Sandra Gayle Coons. Edward also had a very close relationship with his grandmother Thelma Caywood Taylor, "Mimi"

He graduated from Henry Clay High School which is also located in Lexington, Ky.

Most people knew him as Eddie Coons. He worked for Rainbo Baking Company in Lexington, Ky his entire adult life.

His title at the bakery was Production Superintendent. When the bakery in Lexington, Ky shut down he transferred to the bakery located in Atlanta, Ga. and finished out his career, Eddie had well over 30 + years of service.

Eddie was a great provider and such a loving father, not only to his 2 sons Edward T Coons Jr. and Joseph Matthew Taylor Coons but also his stepchildren which include Jeana, Becky and Robert.

Eddie was also one of the best pool or billiard players you have ever seen, he really loved the game. In his younger days people that knew and played the game with him called him "Fast Eddie."

Eddie eventually purchased a home in Florida and spent his retirement years in the sunshine state.

Eddie is survived by his two sons, Edward T Coons Jr. and Joseph Mathew Taylor Coons.

Eddie was loved dearly, by all that met and knew him. He will be missed greatly.
