Edward Allan Kowalewski (Ed), 78, took his final breath on July 4, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones and entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father.  Ed was born on October 25, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, to Edward and Hattie Kowalewski.  In 1962 he met the love of his life, Beverly, at Stromboli's Pizzeria.  Ed and Bev were married in 1964 and later would have four children.  Ed loved sports, his favorite teams were the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and the Michigan Wolverines.  In 1987 Ed moved with his family to Daytona Beach, Florida.  Ed also loved to travel and has a goal to visit all 50 states and was able to achieve it.  Ed lived a full life, filled with loving Jesus, loving his family, joy, happiness, and kindness.  Ed is survived by his wife, Bev, of 58 years, his four children, Cheryl Botchen (Steven), Terry Kowalewski (Mandi), Deanna Furtado (David), and Phil Kowalewski (Naomi), and five grandchildren, Zachary, Madison, Katie, Jared, and Kay Lynne.  A Memorial Service will be held at Crossroads Church, located at 1851 South Clyde Morris Boulevard, Daytona Beach, Florida 32119, on July 15, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
