Edward Andrew Pastor Jr. 1968 – 2020
Edward Andrew Pastor Jr. 52, of Orlando, FL, passed away on November 23, 2020, at Advent Health Hospital in Orlando. Ed or Eddie, as he was known, was born on April 6, 1968, in Bridgeport, CT. Ed was the son of the late Edward Pastor Sr., and was preceded in death by
his brother Andrew Pastor. He is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years Alexandra C. Pastor and beautiful children Nina, 15, and Lukas, 12; his mother and stepfather Frances and Peter Richiuso; sister AnnMarie Perkins; and five nieces and nephews.
Growing up, Eddie loved playing sports including baseball, basketball, and football, as well as bowling, billiards, cycling, wiffleball, riding motorcycles, swimming and skiing. Ed also enjoyed the friendship of his trusty sidekick german shepherd Ginger as well as many neighborhood friends and classmates. Ed later graduated with a GED from Masuk High School in Monroe, CT.
In addition to his love for his family and sports, Ed also had a passion and gift for cooking. He began his career working at several restaurants in Connecticut including Huntington Inn,
Tumbleweeds, Bailey's, The Stone Barn, and Ponderosa where he met the love of his life Alexandra. While Ed called Connecticut home, he moved to Central Florida in 1998 and later married Alexandra in 2003. Soon after arriving in Florida, Ed went to work at Walt Disney World as an Assistant Chef at Boatwright's at Dixie Landings, The Cafe at Grand Floridian and Sebastian's at Caribbean Beach Resort. Ed enjoyed a 22 year career at Disney and was recognized as a Partner in Excellence on December 16, 2002.
When not at work, Ed loved cooking for his family and friends; going to the beach or amusement parks; listening to music and attending concerts especially The Rolling Stones and the Grateful
Dead; and watching sports. He was also a proud and loving father to Nina and Lukas and enjoyed going to Disney Parks and Resorts and teaching them important aspects of life.
Ed leaves behind not only family, but many friends, neighbors and work acquaintances.
