Elaine Margaret MacGowan, 78, originally from Birmingham, England, peacefully passed away in her sleep at Cornerstone Hospice Care after a courageous year-long battle with AML Leukemia. A devout Christian, Elaine found comfort in her faith and looked forward to her Lord's return.

Elaine was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always putting her family first. She had a special love for reading, particularly the works of British author Miss Read, and took great joy in seasonal decorating. Elaine's kindness touched everyone who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Trevor D. MacGowan; her daughter, Maria Rinehart, 56, of Ashville, OH; her sons, Julian MacGowan, 54, of Leesburg, FL, and Alistair MacGowan, 46, of Orlando, FL; and her grandchildren: Trevor J. MacGowan, 26, of Leesburg, FL; Katie Rinehart, 23, of Ashville, OH; Jacob Rinehart, 17, of Ashville, OH; and her great grandson Elliott MacGowan, 7, of Leesburg, FL.

She was preceded in death in England by her mother, Marion Ivy Hill, who passed away at the age of 93, and her father, William T. Hill, who passed away at the age of 78.

Elaine will be remembered for her incredible kindness, her love for her family, and her steadfast faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
