IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elaine
Moran
November 26, 1933 – May 26, 2023
After 89 graceful years, Elaine Marian Moran (Brady) peacefully went home to the Lord on May 26, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Elaine was born on November 26, 1933 to Arthur and Marian (Hoban) Brady in Buffalo, New York where she was raised with her eight siblings. God's plan came into place when she married her husband Richard J. Moran Sr. on December 27, 1952. Together they raised seven children and built a life founded in devotion, faith, and laughter. In 1980 they moved to Ormond Beach where Elaine became a fierce advocate in the expansion of Special Education in Volusia County. Together Elaine and Richard cared for their Special Needs daughter Mary Beth at home for 50 years. Elaine filled her soul with joy until the very end of her days by cheering on her beloved Buffalo Bills and Sabres and playing bingo, rummikub and wordle with her dear friends and family.
Elaine's legacy of kindness and resilience is passed to her children Patricia (Raymond) Dittmer, Susan (late Robert) Mascia, Mary B, Moran and Gregory (Carolyn) Moran as well as her nine grandchildren and their spouses, nineteen great grandchildren, sister Marylou Brogan, brothers William Brady, Michael (Cindy) Brady, sister-in-law Anne Brady and many cherished friends. Elaine is joyously reunited in heaven with her husband of 66 years and her three children, Richard J. (Barbara) Moran Jr, Timothy C. Moran and Carol H. Moran who preceded her in death. Her remaining family's hearts gleam with bright memories of family cruises (especially the nickel slots) and camping trips to Thousand Islands, NY.
All are invited to celebrate Elaine's beautiful and full life at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 South Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 on Friday June 16th at 10:00AM.
A celebration of her life is being planned for a later date in Buffalo, NY.
