Elizabeth Ann Aukee, 77, of Venice, Florida passed away on Thanksgiving  Nov. 23. 2023 at the Village of the Isles hospice house surrounded by loved ones. Elizabeth was born on May 31, 1946 to James and Janet (Krack) Scott in Moline, Illinois. She was a 1964 graduate of United Township High School. Elizabeth was united in marriage to Reuben Aukee on Oct. 09, 1965. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Computer Programming from Black Hawk Community College. She worked for the State of Iowa, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and taught computer programming classes at Scott Community College before retiring. Her loves were music, cruises, bicycling (esp. Women on Wheels rides) and quilting where her quilts won several Honorable Mention ribbons at the Venice Area Quilters Guild show. Those left to honor her memory are her husband Reuben of 58 years, son Andrew, siblings David (Vickie) Scott, Jacqueline (Wayne) Scalf and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan, her parents and sibling Barbara J. (Thomas) Cameron. Elizabeth will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She will be interred in East Moline, Ill.
