Elizabeth “Betty” Drew/Rose Hopper

Elizabeth “Betty” Drew Hopper, 84, passed away on August 31, 2026, in The Villages, Florida. She was born on May 11, 1942, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Russell and Yolanda Drew.

Betty spent many years working at People’s Bank in Connecticut. After leaving CT, she made her home in North Carolina for nearly 30 years before moving to Florida in 2021.

Betty was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was very creative. She loved crafting and making jewelry. In her younger years, she enjoyed belly dancing, and throughout her life she always loved a good party. She treasured time spent with family, including family game nights filled with laughter, fun, and her wonderful cooking.

She is survived by her children, William Rose, Christopher Hopper, and Nicole Hopper Fricke; her grandchildren, Drew, Autumn, Nathaniel, Julianna, and Izzabella; her nephew, George; and Donald Betz, a dear friend who made her last years very special, as well as many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, David Hopper; her parents, Russell and Yolanda; her sister, Barbara; and her nephew, Russell.
