Elizabeth Kirkowski, 69, passed away peacefully at home in Ocala, Florida on July 29th surrounded by loved ones.

She was born February 21, 1957, in Jersey City, NJ. She was a daughter of the late James and Mary Hart. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary John Kirkowski Sr, her three children Gary Kirkowski Jr ( spouse Crosby, children Kylie, Mollie and Lainie), Patrick Kirkowski (spouse Ashley, children Nevaeh and Adylan), Michelle Teschendorf (spouse Nick, children Ty, Taliyah Mahayla, Allie, and Zaniyah); and seven siblings, Patricia Trinity (Les), James P Hart, Kathleen Spisak (Richard), Kenneth Hart (Kimberly), Mary Jane (Julian) Charterina, Nancy Hart, Edward Hart (Sandy) and many nieces and nephews.

Gary and Liz moved to Ocala from New Jersey in 1984 where they soon established A-Tech Automotive Repair Shop which they operated for thirty years. Liz was a stay at home mom for many years and loved taking care of her family and their home. She enjoyed the Florida sun and kept her pool and yard in pristine condition. She later trained in security and worked at Del Webb’s Stone Creek where she was a beloved security guard for seven years. She loved doing that and even her favorite shows reflected that interest; NCIS, Judge Judy, and Law and Order were among her favorites.

Liz was strong-willed with a tough exterior but was incredibly tender-hearted when you found a spot in her heart. She demonstrated this especially with her kids and grandkids. She was a hard worker and didn’t mind getting her hands dirty but also loved getting her nails done and looking her best. While a party girl in her younger years, family changed Liz and she devoted herself to them and became a true homebody, never wanting to travel unless it was to go on a cruise.

Liz met her husband Gary at a bowling alley and was a fantastic bowler, participating in a league for several years. She loved ice cream and always liked to have a sweet treat after dinner. She loved dolphins and the color blue but more than anything she loved her family.

She will be greatly missed.
