Ellen (Compton) Uminsky, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 after a long illness. Born in Cambridge, MA., she was the daughter of the late Lemuel “Carl” & Lucy (Bears) Compton of Marlborough, MA and the wife of the late Bruce Uminsky of Framingham, MA. Ms. Uminsky moved from Framingham to Port Charlotte, FL with her son in 2016. She loved her family, enjoyed being at the ocean and attended the local art festivals. Before her retirement, she was a long time receptionist at The Rivers School in Weston, MA and enjoyed working with her coworkers and getting to know many of the students at the school.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia “Trish” Doyle, her son, Robert “Bob” Boisvert, both of Port Charlotte, her granddaughter, Ashley Bentley and her husband Mark of Hudson, MA and her great-granddaughter, Evelyn Bentley. She is also survived by her brother, James Compton Sr of Marlborough and her nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Christina Doyle of North Port, FL, her grandson, Michael Boisvert of Charlton, MA and her sister-in-law, Joanne Compton of Marlborough.
